Jennifer Hudson Joins Prince In Chicago: Watch The Powerful Duet
During one of Prince‘s “Welcome 2 Chicago” shows at the United Center, the Purple One brought out Chi-town native Jennifer Hudson for a duet on “Nothing Compares 2 U” (you know, that little song Sinead O’Connor made famous with her spare cover). The funky, soulful rendition found both performers in their respective wheelhouses: Prince playing the passionate preacher (even yelling “Take ’em to church” before the duo does just that) and J-Hud doing her diva thing all over the GD place. The video up above isn’t the best quality, but it’s worth watching to hear them join forces and slay the United Center.
