After months of speculation and suspect reports, Adele has finally confirmed that the rumors are true — the record-breaking superstar has recorded the theme song for the new James Bond film Skyfall. As originally reported, the song, which shares the film’s title, was co-written and produced by her frequent production partner Paul Epworth, who helmed Adele’s global smash “Rolling In the Deep” and also helped Florence + The Machine‘s Florence Welch develop her signature sound.

Adele confirmed the reports by tweeting a photo of the song’s printed music, which shows the writing credits as well as the arrangement; that comes courtesy of Epworth and J.A.C. Redford, an Emmy-nominated composer of film and television scores.

While there have been some other excellent James Bond theme songs (we just rounded up the 10 best), given the impressive pedigree of “Skyfall,” we wouldn’t be surprised if Adele’s rendition is one of the strongest yet.
