Can’t wait until October 4 at the precise time of 7:07 p.m. ET to hear Adele‘s “Skyfall”? No worries! A 90-second snippet of her James Bond theme has surfaced. And from this tiny sample, it’s very Bond-y, both sultry and grand. It starts with minimal piano accompaniment and a clean guitar line, before that 77-piece orchestra kicks in on the chorus. As horns and strings swell and bleat, Adele wearily croons “Let this sky fall / When it crumbles / We will stand tall / And face it all together.” If anyone’s voice can stand out in a production that big, it’s Adele’s. Hear the preview after the jump.

This song is basically Snake Eater.
That has to be the first Metal Gear Solid reference in Idolator history.
the jury is still out however reflects the great past greats in the early years as a bond theme.
Sounds like its harking back to Bond themes of old which is a good thing and lets hope any future movies do the same, the themes for Quantum and Casino were truly dreadful, such a departure from what we’re used to and forgettable.
