Since American Idol signed Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj as judges, rumors have been flying that the two big divas with big personalities were clashing on set — although everyone has been quick to deny the allegations. Now, there’s some empirical proof that the two ladies aren’t exactly getting along. In a video of yesterday’s auditions in Charlotte, NC, Minaj appears to be throwing a tantrum, screaming profanity at Carey. The clip was leaked by TMZ, and according to sources, before the video footage begins, Minaj even threatened to “knock out” Carey.
The dialogue isn’t particularly clear in the low-quality clip, but Minaj seems animated, firing F-bombs with reckless abandon: “I told them I’m not [bleeped] putting up with her [bleeped] highness over there. Figure it the [bleeped] out, figure it out,” she yells. Later, she says, “I’m not gonna sit here every [bleeped] minute to have you come down and harass me every minute every day.” Randy Jackson can be heard trying to placate Minaj, although it’s tough to make out what Carey is saying in response.
Shortly after the incident took place, Carey reportedly tweeted the following: “whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy” The tweet has since been deleted. Go figure.
According to TMZ sources, producers had to end auditions for the day after the blow out — and they’re worried about how the judges will coexist through the show’s run. After watching this video, we don’t blame them. See the clip above.

Nicki Minaj has no class, or talent to even be sitting at the same table with legends such as Mariah and Keith. She better go join the talentless judges/hoes on the x-factor!
I don’t think it is fair to judge. We did not hear the full story. There was one report that stated that Carey was throwing jabs at her and wouldn’t stop way before she lost it and went off on Carey. Just because Carey is more famous doesn’t mean she is more innocent. We may never know, but I wouldn’t want someone judging me from a video that only shows one side of the story. I hope they find the person that released this private behind the scene video and fire/sue if an employee. If not an employee then sue them for as much as possible. I don’t want someone in my private space videotaping me and I know that the shows producers should be able to work out what ever they need to without someone secretly taping and releasing private conversations. What a tragedy!!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps Mimi needs someone to bring her ass back down to reality…I’ve known some people who’ve worked around her (caterers and make-up people) and she’s been known to be quite rude and arrogant to “the help.”
Either way Nicki shouldn’t be mouthing off like that… but I really would like to know what set her off!!
Everyone knows Mariah Carey is a diva and everyone knows Nicki Minaj is….. Eccentric… That’s why they decided to invite Nicki instead of Aretha Franklin to be a judge. The producers knew that the egos of Nicki and Mariah would clash and make for “great tv”.
I’m not totally convinced that this wasn’t staged. In fact, I’m willing to bet it *was staged just to get more attention drawn to the show. Which I’m still not watching. I give up on American Idol.
