Not to be outdone by Rihanna, who earlier today (October 11) unveiled the cover for her next album Unapologetic, Nicki Minaj tweeted the artwork for her expanded reissue Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded — The Re-Up (both albums drop on November 19). And, OK fine, Nicki was outdone by Rihanna — it’s hard to compete with a naked RiRi. Nicki went a simpler route: a snarling headshot with her hair blown out and a diamond medallion dangling around her neck. Click through to see her tweet revealing the cover to her fans.

It seems her marketing team are trying to win back some of those urban fans this time around. Especially after the mistake that was the original Roman Reloaded cover going all pop/mainstream.
I think however it’s too little, too late. Her mainstream, wacky ways these past 12 months have turned a lot of the urban community off. If an artist cannot make up their mind on what they want to be (and it’s okay to mix around genres etc. just don’t alienate your fanbase) then the fans will just switch off than wait around.
when it comes to hip hop fans, they dont care if u like other kinds of music. If u are a rapper ur supposed to STAY that way. Rappers ddont even experiment with music, with lyrics or anything, and the first one to do so gets clowned. Its all about being the same, and she says no to that. so she fake to a lot of hip hop heads.
I like this cover bc its less of a headache but than again i liked the other one better idk Lol…..but about her music i knew she never left hiphop cuz she said it herself that she wanted to experiment w. Some dance tracks and on two new songs i heard from the reup shes rapping like herself AND even though she has three pop singles out she still had like three hiphop hits at the same time and she was featured on songs from 2chainz, wacka flocka and lil wayne. And on when she does rap on her pop songs they dont feel too girly, but ithere also lmore dance dubstep tracks better than i hear on the radio…….anyway im still a fan and shes still a great hiphop artist in my opinion and shes herself and out theb box which i truly respect and giverher credit for
At least when i hear from her im never bored iether anxnive seen behind the scenes and she know how to handle her business and musically she does what she wants and has her own control while writing her own music. I never see her letting someone else take over which is what rihanna does. Rihanna makes good songs all the time thanks to her producers and writers but she really has no talentother than dancing……so anotherplus to nicki (btw i still like rihanna)
