The buzz about UK chanteuse Jessie Ware has reached a deafening volume, but don’t expect it to die down anytime soon. The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter, whose soulful stylings and lush vocals made her a sensation in her native UK, just announced that she has signed with a stateside label — Cherrytree Records, also the home of quality pop imports like Robyn, Ellie Goulding and La Roux — with a debut US label to follow in a few months. While Adele‘s hiatus may stretch on for years, launching Ware in the States is a superb way to keep our appetite for British songbirds with devastating lyrics and killer voices.

“I’m extremely excited to be joining Cherrytree,” said Ware. “Not only am I a huge fan of the artists already on their roster, but I have seen how they have nurtured and helped other UK artists. I can’t wait to start working with them, and I look forward to touring the US and playing to new people!”

Ware’s debut UK album, Devotion, was met with rave reviews upon its release. Her US EP, titled 110%, is due out in December, with a stateside tour to follow in January 2013.
