One glaring omission from Kanye West‘s compilation Cruel Summer was the iconic Q-Tip, who is signed to Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music imprint. Back in September, Q hinted at a sequel to the posse album, and in a new interview he goes even further. When directly asked about Cruel Winter (which we can assume will drop in the spring), the rapper skips over confirming its existence and whether it’s actually called that, and goes right to reassuring everyone that he’ll be on it.
“Can fans expect a Q-Tip track on the Cruel Winter album?” he’s asked by HHS 1987. “Oh yeah, for sure,” he responds. “Yeah I’ll be on it.” So there you have it! Apparently he wasn’t on the first G.O.O.D. Music comp because he was training to be the label’s public information officer. Check out the full interview over at Complex.
