Taylor Swift‘s Red is in the black, as the LP is forecast to sell 1 million units in its first week on shelves, according to Billboard. This would make Swift the first woman in the Nielsen SoundScan era to sell a million copies in a single week with multiple albums. First-day sales of Red topped 500,000, including a record sales day at Target, where the store moved 160,ooo copies of its exclusive deluxe edition. Swift may have also broken the iTunes first-week record of 390,000 sales, a mark previously held by Mumford & Sons‘ Babel.
