American Idol will return to FOX for its 12th season with a two-night premiere in January. Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban will make their Idol debut, along with ol’ standby Randy Jackson, on Wednesday, January 16 from 8-10 p.m. ET. And because Idol always goes big, the next night will see the third hour of the premiere, starting at 8 p.m. ET.
