It’s been a long minute since Solange Knowles showed us why she’s just as cool as her big sister Beyonce on her last studio album, 2008′s underrated and forward-looking Sol-Angel and the Hadley Street DreamsNow, after dazzling us with her lead single “Losing You” (helmed by hip producer du jour Blood Orange‘s Dev Hynes, who worked on Sky Ferreira‘s new EP as well, Knowles has announced the release of a new album. (Or is it an EP? Seven tracks is right on the cusp.)

Production comes courtesy of Hynes as well as Ariel Rechtshaid, and the songs have titles like “Some Things Never Seem to Fucking Work” and “Lovers in the Parking Lot,” which means they’re all but guaranteed to be great. True hits digital retailers on November 27 — see the full tracklist after the jump.

  1. Emerence

An album use to be at least 15 songs, then 10. Please don’t tell me it’s dropping to 7. That more an EP than an album.
