Thanks to Hurricane Sandy wreaking havoc on much of Manhattan Monday (October 29), Late Night with Jimmy Fallon taped yesterday’s show without an audience. It was eerie and absurd watching the host deliver punchlines punctuated with a few chuckles from the crew and a whole lot of crickets, and it was equally strange seeing a band perform in a silent room.
But Imagine Dragons‘ “It’s Time” worked well in the empty setting. The hand-claps and stomps gave the performance a revival hall vibe, and with the energy built up at the song’s crescendo, they may as well have been in a packed stadium. Watch it up top.

They’re amazing.. awesome performers.
Did anyone else notice ET rocking out in the background??
Not a surprise that they were fantastic! Huge fan — saw them in ATL. The energy is amazing!
They were great, plus they were class acts for preforming to an empty house. Saw them in Mnpls. They were the best live band I’ve ever seen.
why didn’t I have a boat….I should have planned this out better.
LOVE THESE GUYS!
