Charli XCX has released her Super Ultra mixtape, her second of the year following Heartbreaks and Earthquakes. The playfully dark synth-pop singer said she wrote much of the album while “driving around in a car in Poland” over the course of two days. The result, she says, is a mostly sad affair in which each song is about love in one way or another. If the slinky “Cloud Aura” is Charli’s version of a sad love song, then we’ll happily let her break our hearts.
