The Killers Cut UK Show Short Due To Brandon Flowers’ Sore Throat: Watch

The Killers walked off stage after playing just four songs for a sellout crowd in Manchester Tuesday (November 13). A venue spokesperson cited singer Brandon Flowers‘ sore throat for the abrupt ending to the show. Before exiting the stage, Flowers told the British audience it was an unprecedented move for the band: “I’m sorry, I’ve never had to do this before but we’ve gotta stop. I can’t sing… I don’t know what else to tell you. I’m sorry.”

The crowd sounded stunned at first, but it never escalated into incredulousness, and they actually cheered him on after he called Manchester the Las Vegas band’s “musical home” and promised they’d be back. Tonight’s concert there has also been postponed, and both shows are expected to be rescheduled for 2013.
