Did You Hear?

:: 50 Cent appeared on QVC to sell his $250 STREET By 50 headphones, and lonely cat ladies must love them some high-end cans, because they sold out in nine minutes. Which is doubly impressive considering the rapper seemed to spend more time flirting with the QVC hosts than he did peddling his hardware. [Vibe]

:: Big name artists such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Britney Spears and Billy Joel have signed an open letter in opposition to Pandora’s proposed changes in artist compensation. The online radio company is lobbying Congress to reduce the fees they must pay for streaming the music, but over 100 musicians argue the proposed changes would “gut the royalties that thousands of musicians rely upon.” [LA Times]

:: When Big Boi took a playful shot at Andre 3000 for being too busy “with some Gillette shit” to make an appearance on Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors, the headlines soon declared an official Outkast beef. Everyone can relax, though. Big Boi clarified on Twitter that he was being sarcastic and that there’s no beef. So…there’s still hope for that next Outkast album… [Pitchfork]

:: Taking a page out of The Weeknd‘s book, The-Dream is releasing his cult favorite 1977 mixtape commercially on December 18. The singer-producer previously released it in 2011 as a free digital LP. [Spin]

:: Keri Hilson has scored a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models. The agency also counts Iggy Azalea and Fergie among its musician clients. [Rap-Up]
