PSY was joined by the meme-before-there-were-memes MC Hammer to close out the 2012 American Music Awards with “Gangnam Style.” What more do we need to tell you? It was a true pop cultural Moment. We can’t believe it, but with Hammer’s help, the so-stale-it’s-fresh-again Youtube smash actually injected some life into the overwhelmingly bloated, bland AMAs broadcast. So, what we’re saying is, if you’re only gonna watch one more performance of “Gangnam Style,” let it be this one.
