Texas-bred pop star Kelly Clarkson has written an anthem for her favorite NFL team the Dallas Cowboys. Football fans know that Tony Romo and the gang could use an extra boost right now, so “Get Up (A Cowboys Anthem)” is certainly crafted to get the crowd going. The lyrics obviously don’t pack the punch of a song like “People Like Us,” but it’s still vintage Kelly, matching a propulsive beat with a crescendo in the chorus that causes involuntary fist-pumping. The song is part of Pepsi NFL Anthems, which enlisted seven pop stars — including Aerosmith, Lenny Kravitz, Travie McCoy and Wiz Khalifa — to write original anthems for their favorite teams. Each song is available for a free download here.

Srsly.. I can listen to this woman’s voice every day and will not complain. I want an epic Calvin Harris/Kelly anthem more than ever.
