Rick Ross Cancels Two North Carolina Shows Amidst Gang Threats

Rick Ross has canceled two shows in North Carolina, possibly because of threats from Gangster Disciples. While Rozay tweeted that tour promoters made the call to cancel the concerts in Greensboro and Charlotte, there’s speculation the decision was prompted by recent threats to Ross and his Maybach Music Group members, according to The Boombox.

Supposed members of the gang released a video in which they threaten to kill Rozay and his crew, which included the lyric “We Maybach killers.” The beef apparently stems from a line about jailed GD leader Larry Hoover in Ross’ Teflon Don song “Blowin’ Money Fast.” Oh, and the gang’s emblem happens to be a six-pointed star, and Rozay’s latest mixtape Black Bar Mitzvah features the six-pointed Star of David. So, totally beef-able stuff here. This is all completely reasonable.

Ross and MMG have had run-ins with other groups this year, though this one has more sinister undertones. Back in September, Ross got into a physical altercation with Young Jeezy backstage at the BET Hip-Hop Awards, while Maybach’s Gunplay got into a fight with members of 50 Cent‘s G-Unit in the parking lot.
