Christina Aguilera Performs “Just A Fool” On Ellen, Talks Hillary Clinton Chemistry: Watch

Professional wailer Christina Aguilera took a breather from her tireless promotional schedule as Legend Of The United States to swing by The Ellen Degeneres Show today, where she talked about a litany of important and personal issues — like her holiday decorating style, and how Cee Lo has gas — and performed her new country ballad “Just A Fool.”

Live at Ellen, the Blake Shelton-assisted tune, her second single from Lotus, featured typically dramatic vocals and a lot of spectacular runs, which sounded great. She was joined partway through by Shelton, who gamely participated without upstaging Legendtina. (Smart move, bro.)

In the interview with Degeneres, though, she discussed the widely circulated photo of Aguilera with former First Lady and current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in which Clinton appears to be gazing at Aguilera’s cleavage. (Cue the “Lotus, meet FLOTUS” jokes.) About the interaction, Aguilera explained that — lest there be any confusion — Clinton’s attraction to Aguilera was reciprocated: “She’s such a force in a room. She’s just got the star charisma, and everything about her — I couldn’t take my eyes off her, either. It was mutual.” Trust that this exchange will feature prominently in our Lotus fanfic down the line.
