British boy band/instigators of girls screaming One Direction will be introducing the ’80s rock group Blondie to a whole new generation of listeners: The group has announced that they will be releasing Blondie’s famed single “One Way Or Another” as a single for the charity organization Comic Relief in 2013.

The single will be available to pre-order on January 31, with an official release to follow in February in anticipation of March 15, Britain’s Red Nose Day, the biennial telethon that benefits poor and disadvantaged children.

Said tousle-headed heartthrob Harry Styles in a press release: “We have grown up with Comic Relief and taken part in lots of Red Nose Days at school so we were thrilled to be asked to do this year’s Red Nose Day single. It’s such an honour for us. We can’t wait to perform our version of this iconic pop song and raise as much money as possible for this incredibly important cause that is really close to our hearts.”

Said One Direction’s fans, “Who’s Blondie?”
