On HBO’s Girls, music is the unseen fifth member of the ensemble, and the accompanying cuts are often just as au courant as the lead characters. So it’s not surprising that Girls – Volume 1: Music From The HBO Original Series (out January 8) includes new tracks from Santigold (“Girls”), fun. (“Sight Of The Sun”) and Tegan & Sara (“Fool To Cry”). The compilation also has energetic tracks from Robyn, Icona Pop and Oh Land.
