t.A.T.u Perform “All The Things She Said” & “All About Us” On Romanian ‘The Voice’: Watch

“Where were you when t.A.T.u reunited on the Romanian version of The Voice?” That’s what they’ll ask, twenty years down the line. That’s what they’ll write in the history books, long after all those other acts have been forgotten.

Yes, the iconic millennial Russian pseudo-lesbian girl group t.A.T.u (that’s Julia Volkova and Lena Katina for those readers who don’t have a “Julia & Lena” tattoo somewhere on their bodies) performed on a recent episode of Vocea României (which airs Tuesdays between Judge Joe Brown and The Chew, but only when the moon is waning). There, the all-grown-up girls of t.A.T.u turned out an electrifying set that included their breakout smash “All The Things She Said” and the gripping dance-pop hit “All About Us” (which was written by The Veronicas, because sure!).

Also featured: a lot of hair-flipping and the girls locked up in cages that appear to be made out of paper, or something. The cages are probably a metaphor for the prison of their relative obscurity, though, so it’s perhaps heartening to know that they’re made of a malleable material.

In fairness, the performance was about as spirited as a pair of sorority girls performing karaoke at a Senor Frog’s after a very long spring break, but it’s t.A.T.u, and they’re back, so we’ll cut them a break. Next up, hopefully, will be Moscow — and then, the world! Watch up top.

Was this the best performance you’ve ever seen? It was, right? Wasn’t it? It totally was. But tell us why in the comments, then sound off on Facebook and Twitter!
