Sunday night’s (December 16) VH1 Divas special had its share of outrageous covers, but much of the show was spent memorializing two divas we lost this year — Whitney Houston and Donna Summer. Houston’s Sparkle co-star Jordin Sparks started off the touching Whitney medley with “I’m Every Woman,” followed by Melanie Fiona on “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” and “It’s Not Right But It’s OK,” before Ledisi finished things up with “How Will I Know.”
Earlier in the broadcast, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and host Adam Lambert performed a tribute to Donna Summer featuring her hits. Catch that performance below, as well as songs from Kelly Clarkson, Demi Lovato and Ciara.
