Cassidy’s “Condom Style” Remix Of PSY’s “Gangnam Style” Ends 2012 On A High Note
Thanks for everything, 2012, you’ve been great, but you can go ahead and pack it up. We’re going to just start 2013 tomorrow, because the highlight of, and perfect capper to, 2012 is here and there’s no point in going through the motions for two more weeks. Philadelphia rapper Cassidy has re-started (and ended forever) the matter of “Gangnam Style” spoofs with his remix “Condom Style.” As you may have guessed, the song is an ode to wrapping it up, because there are “a lot of diseases that’s going around…Going raw is out of the question. So whenever you about to jump it off, I need you to keep this in mind: stroke ’em condom style.” That last phrase, of course, is the hook.
It’s worth noting that when my mother first heard PSY‘s “Gangnam Style” months ago, she asked me why everyone was singing a song about “Condom Style.” This remix is even more horrifying than that moment. Hear it after the jump.
