TMZ snagged the above video of Madonna going H.A.M. on some fans who were smoking near the stage before her MDNA show in Santiago, Chile Wednesday (December 19). While sound techs were setting up the stage, Madge noticed the nicotine fumes and was so offended that she braved the rain, grabbed the mic and threatened to cancel the show altogether, because that’s rational. ”No smoking! If you’re going to smoke cigarettes I am not doing the show,” she said.
Amidst confused murmurs and boos, Madonna continued to cig-shame, adding, “If you don’t care about me, I don’t care about you… I can’t sing if you smoke.” And then she broke out some Spanish: ”Entiende?…If you love me then don’t smoke. You’re looking at me while you’re smoking cigarettes, like I’m a stupid fucking idiot.” Maybe the cagey vet was doing the old stand-up comedy trick of purposely turning the crowd against you so that you have to work harder to win them over. Or, ya know, maybe it was just Madge being Madge.

I could see if it was a small club but that was clearly outside on a rainy-ish day before the show even started. Must be PMS not MDNA.
Started two hours late, left her fans waiting under pouring rain, skipped the first part of the show and tripped a couple of times… Way to go, Madge!
