With 2012 drawing to a close, “C’mon Let Me Ride” singer Skylar Grey didn’t have to look very far when decided upon her favorite album of 2012. Turns out, her ears were hooked on the debut album by her fellow Interscope/KIDinaKORNDER labelmates Imagine Dragons.

“My 2012 album of the year is Night Visions by Imagine Dragons. So first of all, I know [frontman] Dan [Reynolds], I know Imagine Dragons from being label mates with them and from [producer] Alex Da Kid, all that stuff,” Grey explained to us. “But I’m not just being biased. I think their album is really awesome. The songwriting is great. It sounds great. Dan’s voice is crazy good, and they’re really amazing people. I’m very proud of them.”

Skylar’s top pick Imagine Dragons broke out in a big way this year, thanks to the Las Vegas band’s recent hits “It’s Time” and “Radioactive.”And much like those songs, Skylar’s “C’mon Let Me Ride” was produced by Alex Da Kid.
