It’s hard to believe another year in pop music is almost over — and what a wild and crazy one 2012 turned out to be! From surprising new couples, reconciliations and engagements (ahem, Chavril), to K-pop dance crazes and viral music videos (thanks, Carly Rae Jepsen) —not to mention bizarre new haircuts, bittersweet farewells, Grammy sweeps and ghost sex — we can only wonder how 2013 will top the last 12 months.
To bid a fond adieu to this year in music and pop culture we decided once more to enlist the help of Pop Waffle. Above, relive 2012 in stop-animated, hand drawn Post-It Notes. We’re not sure what compelled our own Erika Brooks Adickman to rehash the past 12 months in the most tedious way possible, but we hear it had something to do with being bored while watching Lincoln.
