Lady Gaga To Offer Free Therapy On Born This Way Ball Tour
If anyone can make going to therapy “cool,” it’s Lady Gaga. In a bold move, Mother Monster has announced she will be offering free counseling to fans at her Born This Way Ball tour, which kicks off Jan. 11 in Vancouver, Canada.
“For those wondering about the ‘counseling’ at the BTWBall BornBrave pre-show, it will be a fun tailgating experience for monsters to unite,” Gaga tweeted last night (December 29).
Known for her love of her Little Monsters and her gay issues and teen bullying advocacy, Gaga hopes to push the boundaries and take the shame out of getting help. Lady G has created the “Born Brave Bus” for concert-goers in need, tweeting:
At the #BornBraveBus you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends.

#BornBraveBus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgement,FREE real help available to all #BraverWorld

Hoping to change the mental health stigma, the performer wants the experience to be more of a party atmosphere, adding:
#BornBraveBus there will also be food and games, @djws and @ladystarlightny will DJ with host @breedlovenyc to keep the experience fun

Finally, she wrote:
I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around “help” and make it fun

While Gaga’s concert/therapy idea may be a radical one, it’s not surprising coming from her. In 2011, the “Born This Way” singer revealed to the Huffington Post that after concerts she would invite troubled fans onboard her bus for cocoa and heart-to-hearts. Last year, the platinum performer also created her Born This Way Foundation, which helps empower youth. It’s clear that her Little Monsters remain a top priority, so bravo to Lady Gaga for trying to help her legions of fans.
