In the interview, Miguel gets candid about his biracial upbringing, saying, “My father is Mexican and my mom’s black so I found myself in the middle of things on a few occasions. I kind of had to choose not to be either, but just to be myself.” He added, “Those experiences interestingly contributed to my individuality.”
