Did You Hear?
:: Miley Cyrus took to Twitter on Wednesday (January 2), defending Justin Bieber and calling for “some changes” to paparazzi behavior and laws following the death of a pap who was tailing what was thought to be a car driven by Bieber. “Paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices.” Sing it, sister. :: It turns out the photographer was, in fact, following Bieber’s white Ferrari. It’s just that Bieber wasn’t in the car, and it was driven by Young Money rapper Lil Twist. Bieber was hanging out with the rapper at a hotel following his NYE performance, and Bieber let Twist leave with his wheels. [Billboard]
:: Pink is being sued for $36,000 in unpaid royalties by producers from Specialists Entertainment who worked on her debut album. According to court documents, they never received full royalties owed from “Can’t Take Me Home” and “Hiccup.” [TMZ]
:: Ne-Yo already revealed that he’s working with Beyonce on her new album, but now he has given fans some insight into Bey’s recording process. He said motherhood hasn’t changed her approach, that she still exhibits the “same drive that she’s always had…She’s not a person that slacks off in the studio.” [MTV]
:: Adam Lambert levied a few critiques of Les Miserables over Twitter, saying it “suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers” and that the vocals should have been “sweetened” in the studio. One of the film’s stars, Russell Crowe, has responded…in agreement. “I don’t disagree with Adam, sure it could have been sweetened,” Crowe tweeted. “[Director Tom] Hooper wanted it raw and real, that’s how it is.” [USA Today]
