Can you believe, after all that waiting, we got comebacks from both Destiny’s Child (“Nuclear”) and Justin Timberlake (“Suit & Tie”) in the same week? We will be forever grateful to DC and JT for brightening up the ever-dark days of early January with the surprise releases of their comeback singles. But after the initial rush, were the songs worth the wait?
Neither track was as overblown as the hype surrounding them — in fact, they were both far more chilled-out than we were expecting. Rather than try to hit the reset button for pop music, they both repurposed retro sounds. But which one did you like more? JT’s collaboration with Jay-Z and Timbaland, or Beyonce‘s reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams? Cast your vote below. (I think we can agree, whoever wins, Jay-Z wins.)

Isn’t there a “c) None of the above, both songs are mediocre” option? :S
dont like both comeback songs. im expecting it to be explosive.. sad to say its not!
Suit & Tie!
I wish there was a 3rd option as well, both songs severely underwhelmed in my opinion.
Timbaland and Pharrell just don’t sound as fresh as they once did… :(
^ I think Pharrell still sound fresh for the most part, or at least more fresh than Timbaland.
Let down by both, but Nuclear is painfully boring. We need another Sexy Back or Bootylicious!
The Destiny’s Child track sounds like a track 7 somewhere on an album from the mid 90′s I’ve heard before but skipped.
JT’s track sounds like he hasn’t done this in a while and needs to warm up.
I’m happy to see a that i share the same opinion that a lot of others do… these songs suck. Justin was smart to release his track now(since theres not a lot of music being release, his song might reach number one). Can’t wait for these BETTER releases: Britney Gaga, Mariah, Cher, Yeah yeah yeahs, and Demi Lovato
Can’t stand JT and I still don’t know why he has his ghetto pass
I think the name makes it sound stupid. “Nuclear” sounds like it would be a banging song. Something like “Lose My Breath” part 2 but is completely boring and lullaby-ish.
