President Obama’s Inauguration: Katy Perry & John Mayer Attend Together
Katy Perry had boyfriend John Mayer by her side as the two took in the sights and sounds of President Barack Obama‘s Inauguration ceremony for his second term on Monday (January 21). (We guess things between them are getting pretty serious if JM is Katy’s plus one to an event of this patriotic magnitude.) The pair were bundled up to brave the near-freezing temperatures in Washington, D.C., with the Teenage Dream donning an orange and black Rodarte coat, big sunglasses and a black wide-brimmed hat — you might say it’s the anti-Aretha Franklin fascinator. If you recall, Katy was a proud supporter of President Obama during his 2012 election campaign, even going so far as to sport a ballot dress during her performance at his campaign rally in Las Vegas. The California girl’s Presidential pop star duties didn’t end there — Katy also performed at the Kids’ Inaugural Concert on Sunday (January 20), and will be serenading the POTUS and First Lady Michelle Obama at the 2013 Inaugural Ball.
