Carly Rae Jepsen has been named the 2013 Candie’s It Girl. The announcement was made on Tuesday (January 22) and the Canadian songbird even got a personal video message from former It Girl, Lea Michele, who passed the torch and wished the pop star good luck. The “Call Me Maybe” singer certainly has some big shoes (or shall we say “super cute espadrilles”) to fill. In addition to Lea, the title has been held by Vanessa Hudgens, Fergie and even Ms. Britney Spears.
Jepsen shared in her behind-the-scenes video that she was “honored” to hold the title. That said, we wonder how she really felt after Candie’s told her she would also serve as the shoot’s photographer. (Personally, we’d be a bit miffed.) Check out the Kiss songbird’s selfies as she poses with many a “wacky” prop. It will undoubtedly bring you back to the same photo-booth shots you took at your cousin’s wedding last year.
