Cher Lloyd has just released a revamped version of her Sticks & Stones track “With Ur Love.” If you recall, the 2011 UK version had the help of Mike Posner, who was kind enough to drop a few raspy-voiced verses. However, on the pint-sized pop star’s Americanized album, the song appeared sans rapping.

Now Cher has tapped rapper Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia to add some rhymes back into the deliciously sweet pop track. Does “With Ur Love” still have “that swag” and “that attitude” of the original? Find out below.

Our favorite line from Juicy has to be “My chick look like Nia Long, your chick look like Miss Piggy.” Seriously, there’s nothing like having the same guy who penned the Dirty South classic “Slob On My Knob” with such unforgettably-NSFW lyrics as: “Juicy is my name, sex is my game/Let’s call the boys, let’s run a train” name check a Muppet.

How do you think Juicy’s rhymes compare to Mike Posner’s “first date, first base/second date, second base…”:

  1. With Ur Love has NEVER EVER been a rap song as much much as Cher’s entire flop debut album has no raping in it at all. And in the case with this song Cher Lloyd does her usual trademark talking and passing it off as singing with an ‘unheard of rapper’ once again getting it wrong with the attempted rapping. No 16 bar verse, bars all irregular, whack rhyming, no street literature. As expected with bubblegum pop this will no doubt be something that an under 13 would buy and on that note another flop for Cher Lloyd to accompany the string of flops that already follow her. Her only hit was ‘want u back’ and that was the highlight of her career all other material released bombed and on the back of much pushing, pr spin doctoring, fraudulent marketing and deceptive media hyping. This girl is suppose to be hiphop yet she cant rhyme, cant rap write, spit rap, has no unique flow or delivery just nothing…..NME and The Guardian were so right about this jumped up fake fraudster…..she just a good looking white girl that thinks she appreciates hiphop but hasnt got a clue what urban music even is or what its all about. She’s just useless and I’m very happy to say fast becoming irrelevant to music!

Antonio, You need to open up your eyes and realize that rap escaped from the urban jungle a decade ago. I am not going to defend this song, but personally I find it hard to put a finger on Cher Lloyd. She’s a chameleon and sometimes incoherent, but capable of performing in many genres. There is definitely something about her voice and quirkiness that is irresistible. I don’t know your criteria for a “flop”, but in my book, regardless of what one may think of the music, going number one in the UK, followed by double platinum in the United States is nothing to shake a stick at. Cher may very well be around for the next decade, so you may want to get used to her. My hope is that Cher will someday apply her considerable talent to something more socially grounded and sophisticated.

Sumac, I like your comment. Antonio, you’re always leaving these nasty comments about Cher Lloyd. You’ve obviously got a real chip on your shoulder, for some unknown reason.
