Alicia Keys Named Creative Director Of BlackBerry: Twitter Reacts
Did you hear the news? In a deliriously weird ceremony earlier today, Alicia Keys was named the Global Creative Director of BlackBerry, the mobile device of choice for Wall Street bankers and people who love having typos in their emails!
For whatever reason, this struck a particular chord with the public, perhaps due to the unfortunate message of Keys, a once-enormous superstar whose successes have been perhaps humbler in recent years, partnering with a formerly ubiquitous tech brand whose relevance is dwindling to lead their creative direction (but about what, though?). It also might have something to do with the fact that Alicia Keys and BlackBerry have literally nothing to do with each other. But rather than try to analyze it, let’s just let the public speak.
