Pop luminary Gary Allan sees his ninth album Set You Free slide into the #1 position on the Billboard 200 this week after the set sold 106,000 copies. Just kidding — Gary’s a country luminary, not a pop luminary. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. And in a weird way, we even kind of want to reach out and touch his tattoos while he details, in a hushed whisper, exactly how he’s going to set us free.

It’s just that this January has been a dismal month for album releases — save for Tegan And Sara‘s Heartthrob, all 10 tracks of which have become our collective jam —  and, well, we’re getting utterly bored with you, Album Chart. So, we’ll just be over in the corner daydreaming about Gary Allan’s ink. You, on the other hand, can catch the rest of the Top 10 below!
