When you hear this in the club, you’re still likely to turn this shit up — even if Britney Spears is barely in it.
Yes, it’s the video for Hit-Boy‘s urban remix of Godney and Will.i.am‘s “Scream & Shout,” reswizzled for the clurb with assistance from Diddy, Waka Flocka Flame and Lil Wayne. While the video was originally tipped to premiere on 106th and Park tomorrow, it appears that Team Britney sprung a leak, with the clip leaking a day in advance. Ah, well.
Similarly minimalist in its scope to the original “Scream & Shout” video, the urban remix features more hyper-GIFable ponytail-whipping and vibing from Spears, plus a lot of rap dude swagger. Ultimately, it does the job serviceably, even if it feels a little phoned-in.
But basically, we just want more Britney than they gave us — but a little Britney is better than no Britney at all, eh? Watch up top.
