Rihanna’s “Diamonds” Covered By Jessie Ware: Listen
Jessie Ware appeared on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge today and performed a lovely cover of Rihanna‘s “Diamonds.” The British singer said she chose the Unapologetic hit because it’s her favorite pop song of the past year, and we could totally get down with that pick. For Ware’s take, the minimalist-for-Rihanna song got an actual minimalist reinterpretation, the arrangement bringing to mind The xx with its spare guitars and static drum machine claps.
