If you combined the Jonas Brothers and One Direction, with maybe just a touch of Hot Chelle Rae (and then added a girl), you’d probably come up with something a little bit like hooky L.A.-based pop-rock band R5. The quintet is made up of siblings Riker, Rocky, Ross and Rydel Lynch, along with their best friend Ellington Ratliff (the band’s name makes sense now, doesn’t it?). You may even recognize a couple members: Riker played Warbler Jeff in a number of Glee episodes, and Ross is Austin from the Disney series Austin & Ally.
“I Want U Bad” is a track off their debut EP Loud (out February 19th), and it’s about being in love with your best friend’s girlfriend, Rick Springfield-style. The song is driven by sister Rydel’s keyboards and features a catchy chorus that we can’t help but jam to. Check it out below.

If you find that you just can’t wait until next week for their EP to drop, Radio Disney will be playing it in its entirety this weekend as a part of their Top 30 Countdown. After the release of Loud, the band is embarking on its first national tour, which kicks off in Santa Ana, CA on March 15.

The original version is better. If they weren’t with Disney they wouldn’t even need a clean version.
I really wish they hadn’t changed the words…I mean, the orginal is so muh better and I like hearing Riker, Rydel, and Rocky with Ross! not JUST Ross. I mean, I love him to peices, don’t get me wrong, but…It’s to autotuned…and I just can’t hear the others. It’s a good song but those things make me a bit mad. other wise, I love them a lot! =D

I love this song, but why did they change and lyrics , I love Ross to bits , but it would be nice to hear Rydel Riker Rocky And Ratliff a bit more . R5family forever
There are two versions, people. This version is the clean version. This version is for Radio Disney. Kids watch Disney Channel which explains why only Ross is singing and not the others because Ross is on Disney Channel, not the others.
