Drake Is Rejected At A Club Because Chris Brown Is There, Rihanna Disses Breezy While She’s There

Chris Brown‘s 2011 hit “Look At Me Now” opens with a taunt: “I don’t see how you can hate from outside of the club. You can’t even get in!” Two years later, his rival Drake just lived out those lyrics: on Wednesday night (February 13), Drizzy attempted to enter Hollywood club Playhouse and was turned down at the door. The reason? Chris Brown was already inside.

Just as news has circulated that the pair are suing each other over that Manhattan nightclub brawl in June of last year, it’s no surprise the two were kept apart. But there’s more to this story. TMZ and Global Grind report that Chris Brown was at Playhouse for a party celebrating clothing line Popular Demand’s anniversary. Earlier that evening, Brown had side piece Karrueche Tran on his arm for the Topshop Topman event in L.A., even though he was snuggled up with Rihanna at the Grammys last week. Dude apparently loves variety. Rihanna was none too pleased, as usual.

RiRi was supposedly scheduled to show up at Playhouse to meet up with Drake, and when bouncers were hip to all of this news, they knew what they had to do. Drake showed up at midnight, and the club said no way in an effort to prevent any fights. That’s some advanced-level bouncing! Meanwhile, RiRi showed up later that night and apparently ignored Chris the whole time. If only this were her behavior every time she’s in the same room as Chris Brown.

With all these overlapping beefs and the history of violence between the major players, having them all in the same club could have been a total disaster. It also could’ve been totally fine, but by dissing Drake, Playhouse ensured it wouldn’t have to change its name to Grindhouse. Are we being melodramatic? Maybe. But remember what the scene looked like after Round 1 of Drizzy vs. Breezy?
