Taylor Swift Sued For $1.8 Million Over Canceled Canada Show

Taylor Swift is being sued by concert promoters in Canada who organized the Capital Hoedown in August 2012, which Swift was scheduled to headline. The concert was ultimately scrapped, so Swift never performed and kept her $2.5 million paycheck, according to TMZ. There’s a cheesy Steve Miller Band quote (but aren’t they all?) that would fit here.

The organizers argue that Swift should foot the $1.8 million bill for ticket refunds. Someone from Taylor’s camp told TMZ Swift didn’t make a deal with the ticket company and thus has no responsibility to get involved with the ticket refunds.

In other words, “not my problem.”
