Last night (March 2nd), Bruno Mars showed up on UK talk show The Jonathan Ross Show, offering a comical interview and a performance of “When I Was Your Man.” When Mars first hit the stage, Ross said to him “Aloha,” acknowledging that he’s Hawaiian. Bruno corrected him and said he was “from Hawaii.” When asked what he identifies as, Mars replied, “I’d like to call myself awesome.” Whatever that means.

The two traded holiday stories – Ross eats turkey on Christmas, while Mars has “Kalua Pig” – along with Ross recalling interviewing Bruno in Hawaii when he was merely four years old. They cut to a clip of the scene, where a toddler Mars was an Elvis impersonator, telling Ross he’s been performing since he was two.How cute!

After discussing his love of a spam and his musical family history, Mars offered a riveting performance of “When I Was Your Man” off his latest Unorthodox Jukebox. If that performance is any indicator of what to expect from The Moonshine Jungle Tour, then fans are in for a real treat!
