Justin Bieber collapsed backstage near the end of his concert at London’s O2 Arena Thursday night (March 7), but after roughly 15 minutes he returned to finish the last four songs of his show. According to TMZ, the singer shuffled backstage and was experiencing shortness of breath when he collapsed and was treated with oxygen. The medical staff advised him to go to the hospital, but Bieber insisted he “had to finish the show for his fans.” (Perhaps he didn’t want to disappoint them after showing up two hours late at an O2 show earlier this week?)

During the pause in the action, manager Scooter Braun explained to the crowd that his client was complaining about respiratory issues throughout the night. Bieber was soon back on stage, soldiering on through the last four songs of his set. Still, he went to the hospital immediately following the concert, where he’s still recovering as of this writing. The star made sure to let his fans know he’s alright, though, posting on Instagram minutes ago that he’s “Gettin better listening to Janice Joplin [sic].” Head below to see his all-smiles (and shirtless, of course) recovery photo.

Back in September, during the inaugural show of his Believe tour, Bieber vomited on stage in Arizona. And just like tonight’s incident, he kept on trucking and finished up the show. As Patrick Carney will tell you, kid’s a fighter.
