Frank Ocean has been sued by a producer-songwriter who says he is not fully credited for his contributions to the Grammy-winning channel ORANGE. According to the lawsuit filed March 6, Micah Otano wrote a song called “Daylight” with producer Malay — only for Malay to copy “Daylight,” rename the song “Lost” and then take all production credit. channel ORANGE credits Otano as a songwriter, but not as a producer.

According to his Twitter profile, Otano has also written for Anastacia (“Burning Star”) and Fantasia (“Overload”). AllHipHop.com has a copy of the lawsuit, which does not disclose how much Otano is seeking in back royalties and damages. Ocean has yet to comment.

What do you think of Otano’s claim? Tell us below, or on Facebook and Twitter.
