Jimmy Kimmel has been bringing out the big guns for performances on his new outdoor stage — and the latest artist to take the summer series was Kendrick Lamar, who took the reins last night for a two-song set. (He looked rather sharp in white, too). Performing “Poetic Justice” as well as an edited version of “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” (titled “Girl Don’t Kill My Vibe” because, hey, it’s broadcast), Lamar was backed by a full band who lent the production nicely jazzy, theatrical flourishes, it was a more robust sound than Lamar usually has in his live sets — and it worked nicely for him, no?

Watch “Poetic Justice” up top, then “Vibe” with him after the jump.
