Any Beyonce news is good news, but this latest Beyonce news is particularly good news. E! Online reports that the superstar will be contributing a song to the soundtrack for Baz Luhrmann‘s upcoming adaptation of The Great GatsbyA cover of Amy Winehouse‘s “Back to Black,” with assistance from rapper Andre 3000. (Given that Jay-Z is executive producing the soundtrack, it should come as no surprise that Bey is involved — not that she’s just his little wife or anything. Gulp.)

In Bey and ‘Dre’s hands, the noirish midtempo is being reimagined as a duet: “It’s a very different take on ‘Back to Black,'” a source at the label said. It also reunites the two, who worked together on Beyonce’s 2011 single “Party.”

Expect their cover to do several things: 1) Honor Winehouse’s legacy; 2) Fit the nostalgic tone of Gatsby, which is set in the 1920s; and 3) Be amazing.
