Let’s give a round of applause for Ashanti, who came back with her boxing gloves after a brief (well, five-year) hiatus, because her new single “Never Should Have” (which we’ve been gushing about relentlessly) is super great! It got us all fired up for her upcoming album, Braveheart, which has grown-and-sexy cover artwork (that blue lipstick, those lashes, the wind in her hair!) and now an official release date. Who knew?

Rap-Up reports that the LP is due out June 11 on Written Entertainment/eOne Music, and will feature her two previous singles — “The Woman You Love” with Busta Rhymes and “That’s What We Do” with R. Kelly — as well as “Never Should Have,” the greatest song of all time.

Get ready. We never should have doubted you, ‘Shanti. Never.
