Oh, that Diplo! His BlackBerry must be ringing off the hook, right? The DJ-turned-superproducer has been  impressively busy cutting tracks for pretty much everyone— and additionally, his company Mad Decent has cooked up a new publishing partnership with Dr. Luke (who just yesterday announced a first partnership with Scott Borchetta to launch artists at the intersection of pop and country), which means that now the only person with more influence than Diplo is Luke.

And that’s a good thing! Probably. Just remember, guys: With great power comes great responsibility.

On that note: Diplo has been working on a song with the tremendously talented and wonderful singer-songwriter Sia which he describes as “big,” although he admits, “We don’t know who it’s for right now.” Diplo + Sia sounds like magic, no?

But on the flip side, Diplo also said that he “just did a bunch of records with Chris Brown,” which is like canceling out all of his good karma for all the good things he’s ever done. Ah, well. All he needs to do now is rescue a puppy from a burning house if he wants to balance the scales.
