Miley Cyrus Is Focusing On Music: New Single This Summer, Album Later This Year
Look: We’ve been placated by new Miley Cyrus coming our way in the form of collaborations (her pretty-great Snoop Lion duet “Ashtrays & Heartbreaks” and her guest spot on the not-very-good-except-it-has-Miley-Cyrus-which-makes-it-good-implicitly Will.i.am team-up “Fall Down”), but it’s not what we want. We want new official Miley. We want solo material. We want big pop songs. And we’re tired of waiting.
But! The wait is almost over, so sayeth Queen Mileybird in a recent Google+ live chat, where she looked more chic than the competition and unabashedly refused to be tamed. It’s all about the music for her right now: “All I do is focus on my music,” she said. “The only place I ever am is at the studio.” Sounds reasonable.
And while she didn’t reveal any details about the timeline of her upcoming releases, E! News quotes an exclusive source who says she’ll be releasing her first single “in the summer, possibly as soon as June, with her album to follow later in the year.”
Please, please, let this be true. If only because our ashtrays can’t take any more heartbreaks.
