Lauriana Mae’s “Money Mae” Video: Idolator Premiere

Most pop fans were introduced to Lauriana Mae via Cee Lo Green‘s surprisingly heartfelt single “Only You” earlier this year. Her smoky vocals were a perfect counterpoint to Green’s alien-soul rasp, but now Mae is showing us a different side for her very first music video, “Money Mae,” and we’re excited to premiere it up top.

The ode to gold-digging (or, as we like to call it, “strategic courtship”) starts out with the Atlantic Records singer melding flapper fabulousness with flashy beats. Then a gloriously cacophonous chorus kicks in, all horn blasts and swagger, as Mae makes it rain. The video was directed by Kai Regan and is off Lauriana’s Love Mae EP, which is out now.
