Ed Sheeran Says One Direction’s Next Album Is “Finished”
Sad person and singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran wrote a few tracks on One Direction‘s last LP, but don’t expect any heartfelt Sheeran ballads on the next one: The crooner (whose voice sounds like two unicorns giving each other Eskimo kisses) confirmed to MTV that he has not written any songs for the new record: “I’ve actually kind of cut myself from giving any people songs at the moment, because I want to make my album,” he said. “I was approached, and it wasn’t so much a ‘No,’ it was just a ‘I want to write tunes for myself at the moment.'” Fair enough, Ed. Fair enough.
But! He also revealed that the record in question is already finished (though his is not): “Once my album’s done, then we’ll see,” he said. “But their album is already finished.”
